Dan Goodmann

Dan Goodmann is a Consultant in Alliant’s Structured Settlements Practice in Chicago. He negotiates structured settlements for workers’ compensation, FELA, auto/general liability, professional liability, and non-qualified cases such as construction defects, employment disputes, and discrimination. Dan works with clients on settlement strategies including life-care planning and economic loss analysis. His client list includes AIG, Chubb, Waste Management, XL Catlin, Cemex, DHL, and the City of Chicago.

He has been in the insurance industry since 1987 and joined Mesirow Insurance Services in 2006 when Settlement Planning Associates, LLC (SPA) was acquired by the company, which was then acquired by Alliant in 2016. Prior to SPA, Dan served as a Senior Claims Representative and Structured Settlement Consultant at CNA Insurance Companies where he was responsible for negotiating settlements, managing regional business development, and overseeing several national accounts.

Dan is a former member of the NSSTA Board of Directors (2012- 2014). He has also been a member of the Prudential’s Structured Solutions Leadership Council since its inception in 2012.

Dan holds both a Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) and a Master’s Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (MSSC) from the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) through the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza School of Business. He was a member of the inaugural class of the MSSC program at the University of Notre Dame.
